This massive application will be built in several parts; some parts will be COTS and other parts will be custom built from scratch. Then all those parts will integrate to give the tax collector and tax payer one tax paying experience. There are only about 500 users of this software and they work for the County of San Diego; therefore, the design look is as important as the functionality/use of the application. Job Duties. DATABASE: perspecta is currently building/developing the database for this new Microsoft application. They will convert the data from the County mainframe and put it into the Database which will then serve up the data to the property tax web application. DATA WAREHOUSE: They are also building a Data Warehouse to back up the data in the County Mainframe (tax payer information, parcel numbers, etc.). This helps mitigate the risk of the mainframe having problems.
