This is a functional role to support the Atlanta facility, which is a medium volume (1100-1400 purchasing line items out, 600 received per day) 400,000 square foot distribution center that houses spare NEW commercial material. They’re a 100% SAP site for warehousing and sales/distribution. Their SAP solution is all custom in that it essentially ‘bundles’ 6 different transactions into one screen, or ‘cockpit’ as they call it. This is already created and running on the backend, so this person won’t be expected to have the level of technical aptitude to figure that stuff out. All reporting uses standard report builds, nothing custom there. -The ask for the position is somewhere between operational and customer support. Also, assistance in continuous improvements/systems simplification to avoid ‘escapes (which is an old-school UTC term for mistakes; they search for root cause analyses for what caused the issues, whether it’s human error, systems configurations, etc.)’. -Knowledge of SAP outputs would be helpful of course.
